Message for Saul as the Corus E/mail does not let me send things to you lot any more! tear....
Hey you, I know your not doing anything at work! So please tell us who won the British Eurovision competition to get through to represent the UK? You may as well tell me whats happening in your life anyway cause we are just sat around doing nought and getting annoyed with George's crossword book! Is anyone sat in my desk now? Vilnius to Riga, another bus trip
Arrived in Riga yesterday afternoon on bus, only broke down in the snow for 30 minutes! Countryside in Latvia more deslote than Lithuania and very oldie worldy. Riga more western than Vinius and more used to tourists, but not as pretty. Sounds good for a summer visit with lots of outdoor activities to do. Found a fantastic hostel, that is like being at home and very modern. Definetly the best yet! Met an Anders from Sweden, but not like ours! Beer 80p a pint!
Off to Tallin on another bus tommorrow, only 4 and half hours. The weather is getting milder now and no rain or snow today.

Warsaw to Vilnius - a refreshing change
Spent the day looking round Warsaw-not much to see-very weird!!!! Was like going back to the 80's (would not recommend a visit!!!!) Very helpful lady in bus booking office even escorted us to the bus stop to catch the overnight bus to Vilnius. Bus wasn't bad, managed to get about 5 hours sleep (not bad). Warsaw bus station was very weird (much worse version of Middlesbrough bus station) , even weirder than Warsaw. Vilnius however, is much nicer-lots of old buildings that are being completely renovated. Actually quite posh in places, much different to how I remember it 10 years ago! We mananged to find a restaurant that Rachael and I had a coffee in 10 years ago.
Very cold here and snowing a little. We know where the term baltic comes from now! Definetly reccomend a visit.

Berlin to Warsaw - welcome to the east
Made it to Warsaw just!!!!
Got a train on Monday (6 hours) and arrived in Warsaw at 6.35. Did not have any accomodation booked or any Polish Zlotys. The tourist information was closed so spent half an hour walking round the nearby shopping centre trying to find someone who spoke English to find a hotel or tourist information. Noone spoke English and all looked very puzzled at us so we headed off to find some where else. Finally came across a Thomson travel agents who was about to close and nipped in to ask him! He then booked us a hostel and arranged for his dad (a taxi driver) to pick us up and take us there! Close call. Spoke to a second generation British Indian from Romania who thought we should make a TV programme (he thought we were nuts).
